I am always wondering, what if 10 years from now, a pandemic started in the US, would they be letting 'Chinese' scientists in to investigate? I doubt it. They would be worried that the Chinese scientists would fabricate data to support their political narratives. China today is just as suspicious of the West, so their stonewalling is little surprise. It let the WHO in supervised because WHO is more neutral (or at least equally biased) between US and China
