Debate does not resolve scientific issues, nor is it conductive to do so on scientific topics. Debate it's about persuasion.

Do you have any experinece with debate and persuasion? Because the topic itself is an uphill battle, and live debunking does not work. Facts don't matter in debates, appearences and rhetoric do.

I do not know about your strategy, but this is not an issue where it is hard to find what the science says.

This debate would be between motivated believers defending their worldview and unwelcome science. There is no winning here.

Just think about all the debates of science vs creationism, do you think this changed anybodies minds? No, all it did is give the illegitimate impression that there is something to be debated about; i.e a false balance.
